The Perfect Planner

Being organized and staying on top of things can be a challenge sometimes. I am so busy these days that I tend to procrastinate on certain activities or forget my to do’s. Luckily I have found a solution: The Erin Condren Planner!

Now, I have always loved planners, especially when I was in school. Getting a new school year planner was exciting, haha. But, I have not used one in ages and I was trying to keep track of things in my head or on my phone. That was not working for me and I needed something new. I saw a few bloggers that I follow post pictures of their cute planners and I had to have one. The only thing I didn’t realize was that it would turn into an addiction, a planning addiction, HAHA! I guess that’s not the worst addiction to have.

I discovered the Erin Condren Planner. I looked at all the different options and decided on their Life Planner. You get to customize it and add accessories. I decided on a photo collage cover and added a black and white striped cover since they are interchangeable. I love that you can change up the cover based on your mood. I also added a snap in menu, trip, and party planner. I then went a little overboard and added glitter pen holders and planner holders, pens, white board markers, an accessory bag and colored pencils.

After receiving my planner I started filling it in, a little obsessively. It was such a great creative outlet. I had fun planning my days and weeks out. I got more done and was staying on top of things. I then discovered planner stickers! Oh my! There are successful businesses that sell planner stickers on etsy, websites and in stores. I first purchased a book of yearly stickers from Michaels. It was $20.00 but I got it for $10.00 with my 50% off coupon. J They were so cute and I loved decorating my weekly pages with them. I then discovered ShopJessicaHearts on Etsy. Stickers designed for Erin Condren planners. They are cute and have to do lists, etc., but they were pricey. Around $16.00 for one week. I decided to try it out just to see what they were like. I purchased one week of Christmas themed stickers for a week in December and stickers for the December month page. It cost around $35 or so. I added them to my planner and decided that they are not worth it. I’m glad I purchased them because I wanted to trial everything for this planner and know for sure what I was happiest with. These stickers were cute but it was too much, and didn’t leave as much room to write. I decided to stick with Michaels stickers. It was the perfect amount, didn’t fill up the whole page and I loved how it looked in the end.

Here is what I do and don’t recommend:

Do’s: The snap in covers, colored pencils, accessories case, and snap in planners are all great and highly recommended. The Seasonal “Me and My Big Ideas” sticker book from Michaels is amazing and the perfect stickers for your Erin Condren planner.

Don’ts: The pens didn’t work well and the white board erase markers aren’t great for the snap in planners as they wipe off easily. I use a thin sharpie on the snap in planners and erase with nail polish remover when needed. Don’t waste your money on expensive stickers that fill up the whole page.

So now I am planner happy. I highly recommend the Erin Condren Planners to help you stay organized, prepared and productive.
